Mama G lands in Lusaka for film project
THERE was a buzz in Lusaka this afternoon as Nollywood legend Patience Ozokwo, fondly known as Mama G, quietly arrived in the country ahead of a major film production.
The celebrated actress is in Zambia for a new project titled The Family Affair, currently being shot locally in what is shaping up to be one of the most exciting collaborations between Nigerian and Zambian filmmakers.
The Family Affair producer and founder of Kazadi Films, David Kazadi did not hold back his excitement, announcing her arrival with a bold statement on his Facebook page: “THE TITAN HAS ARRIVED!”—a nod to her status as one of Nollywood’s most respected figures.
Filming has already started, with Ozokwo working alongside local actors, whose names are expected to be unveiled soon.
The production is being driven by Basali Media in partnership with Kazadi Films, a collaboration industry players say could help raise the bar for Zambian cinema.
