Reports suggest a significant shake-up in the lineup of performers for the Grammy Awards 2024. Taylor Swift, initially announced as a performer, will reportedly not be taking the stage at the event.

According to sources close to the artist, as confirmed by Entertainment Tonight, Swift will not perform but will still make an appearance at the Grammy Awards 2024. The singer had initially agreed to participate in the award ceremony but changed her decision swiftly, considering her upcoming Eras Tour, which kicks off immediately after the show.

Despite her album receiving six nominations at the 66th edition of the Grammys, Taylor Swift is set to perform in Japan for four consecutive nights right after the award ceremony.

The statement released by Entertainment Tonight read, “Despite reports on Sunday stating that Taylor Swift would be taking the stage at the 66th annual GRAMMY Awards, sadly, that is not the case.  ET has exclusively learned that the “Karma” singer, 34, will be in attendance at the Feb. 4 award show, however, she will not be performing as she has a quick turnaround before resuming her record-breaking Eras Tour on the other side of the world.  Swift — whose album Midnights is nominated for six awards — will quickly head out from the show and travel to Tokyo, Japan, where she will perform four back-to-back sold-out shows in the proceeding days.”
