First Lady donates relief items to Misisi residents!

First Lady Mutinta Hichilema has donated beddings, mattresses, mobility aids, and foodstuffs to vulnerable residents of Misisi township in Lusaka.

Among the beneficiaries were people affected by floods in Nkoloma Ward of Chawama Constituency.

Speaking on behalf of the First Lady, UPND Chairperson General William Banda said the First Family has a heart for the people and decided to respond to their needs.

He added that Mrs. Hichilema has also donated mattresses to the elderly and will continue supporting the less privileged in society.

One of the recipients, 32-year-old Chisala Kalusha, who lost her two-year-old daughter in last month’s floods, expressed gratitude for the donation.

Another flood victim, Agness Mbale, who received beddings and second-hand clothes, also thanked the First Lady for her generosity.
