Eminem and 50 Cent have been nominated for the XXL Awards 2024.

XXL magazine has unveiled its roster of nominees for the annual award ceremony, featuring prominent figures like Eminem, 50 Cent, and The Alchemist across various categories.

Despite not releasing a new album in over four years, Eminem finds himself in the running for Hip-Hop’s Humanitarian of the Year award, alongside other notable names such as E-40, Fat Joe, Jay-Z, Latto, and Lil Durk. This recognition comes as a notable contrast to earlier accusations of inactivity from figures like Dr. Umar earlier this year, underscoring Eminem’s ongoing efforts in the community.

The visually striking work directed by Cole Bennett for Juice WRLD and Cordae’s “Doomsday” earns a nomination for Video of the Year, despite the song’s origins as a Juice WRLD freestyle over Eminem’s “Role Model” beat with Cordae’s later addition.

The Alchemist, though not formally affiliated with Shady Records, is acknowledged as a valued member of the Shady family with a nomination in the Producer of the Year category, alongside talents like Metro Boomin and Hit-Boy.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent secures nominations in two categories: Performer of the Year and The People’s Champ, the latter of which will be decided by public vote. Fans can cast their votes once an hour until Sun., Feb. 18 at 11:59 p.m. EST on the magazine’s website.

The winners in all other categories will be determined by the XXL Awards Board, now comprising 255 industry experts including label executives, A&Rs, marketing specialists, managers, promoters, producers, DJs, publicists, select veteran artists, and more. Notably, this year’s board welcomes 41 new members, including luminaries like Cam’ron, Jermaine Dupri, N.O.R.E., Reggie Saunders, Styles P, and N9ne, reflecting a diverse and esteemed panel of judges.
