AS Reports Indicate a Lucrative Multimillion-Dollar Contract on the Horizon for a Star Player at Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s forward, Brahim Diaz, is set to receive a lucrative “super” contract from Adidas in recognition of his outstanding performance, as per reports from AS and MARCA.

Brahim initially started his football journey in the Malaga academy in his hometown during his adolescence, later moving to Manchester City as a teenager. Although he turned professional with the Etihad giants in 2016, he struggled to secure a consistent spot in Pep Guardiola’s talented first XI.

In early 2019, Madrid seized the opportunity as the young talent approached free agency later that summer, acquiring him for a modest fee in the January transfer window.

A savvy investment of $18.3 million (€17 million) brought Brahim to the Bernabeu, followed by a strategic move to loan him to AC Milan for three years. This stint proved fruitful, with AC Milan’s notable achievements in the Champions League and Serie A. Upon completing the successful loan, Brahim returned to Madrid, showcasing impressive performances under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti.

While the manager typically opts for a frontline featuring Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo as the primary wingers, Brahim has consistently stepped up when either Brazilian is unavailable due to injury, suspension, or the need for rest.

Notably, some of his seven goals have proven pivotal, serving as the lone strikes in matches, such as the recent 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid.

In a Spanish Super Cup semi-final against the same opponent, Brahim’s astute maneuvering, including outsmarting and outpacing Jan Oblak after the Atleti goalkeeper ventured forward for a corner, secured a 5-3 victory in extra time. This crucial contribution set the stage for Madrid’s subsequent triumph over FC Barcelona in the final.

Amid talk of him possibly displacing Rodrygo from the first XI in light of the number 11’s slump in form, Brahim is set to be rewarded with a “a long, million-dollar contract” from Adidas “as an important player at Real Madrid” according to MARCA.

The German sportswear brand is reportedly winning the race against NikeNKE +1.1% for his signature, and wants Brahim to become one of the faces of its soccer department alongside the likes of teammate Jude Bellingham and Lionel Messi.
