Some Suspected junkies attack Kalikiliki police officers and leave the CIO with a broken leg.
It is with deep concern and sadness that we share reports of a shocking incident in Kalikiliki Compound, where police officers were allegedly attacked during an operation.
According to information received, the police were conducting an operation to apprehend a suspect, commonly known as “Z Commander” of Kalikiliki Compound. It is reported that members of his group retaliated and attempted to obstruct the arrest by attacking the officers with stones.
In the process, it is further reported that one police officer sustained a serious injury after being struck with large stones, resulting in a broken leg.
Such reported acts of lawlessness and violence are deeply concerning and pose a serious threat to peace and security within our community. We urge all residents to remain calm, uphold the rule of law, and support law enforcement agencies in maintaining order.
We urge the police to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the culprits to book.
I further appeal to the police command to intensify operations in the compound, as the current situation raises serious concerns regarding the safety of our community.
